Our team at Richmond Crèche and Kindergarten is composed of a diverse group of Educators who bring with them a common goal of providing quality care for children. Richmond Crèche & Kindergarten is like a second home and has been part of my family for nearly 15 years now. Being born in Singapore, I love bringing multiculturalism and diversity in my teaching philosophy.
Being in Early Childhood I always adhere to my mum’s famous words throughout my career, “Ilmu itu bukan sesuatu yang dihafal tetapi yang bermanfaat.” (Knowledge is something that we share for everyone’s benefit.)
The President's role is dealing with people and ensuring the Committee of Management are working effectively, with input from both parents and staff.
The Vice President’s role is to primarily support the President and in their absence accept the President’s role in a temporary capacity.
The task of the Treasurer is to monitor the financial affairs of the service and ensure that members are informed of the financial status of the service.
The Secretary's major role is to make sure systems run well, meetings run smoothly and record-keeping processes are implemented correctly.
Events Committee As a not for profit centre we rely heavily on involvement from parents. The Events committee is a group of parents that get together to organise social events and Fundraising opportunities for the crèche. It is a great way to meet other parents and help the Creche at the same time. We are always looking for volunteers. If you can help please get in touch with the Director.
Sustainability CommitteeSustainability is an important part of everything we do, from our curriculum, the aesthetics of our centres and right through to our locally based community partnerships. The sustainability committee is responsible for creating sustainable practices to be included in our day-to-day activities. By adopting some simple practices in our daily routines, and discussing with the children how and why we do such things, we are aiming to inspire them to become active environmental ambassadors..
